Named to honor Willamette Valley Vineyards Vineyard Manager, Efren Loeza. Tualatin Estate Vineyard in 1979 at the age of 17 and has worked there ever since. Now, Efren is the Vineyard Manager for all vines from Tualatin Estate in Forest Grove to the Estate Vineyard in the Salem Hills, with nearly 500 acres under his supervision.

On the Nose: Our inaugural single vineyard designate from Loeza Vineyard offers a sweet and savory aromatic profile of juniper, black cherry, brown sugar and vanilla.
On the Palate: Its medium body, fresh acidity and present tannins balance flavors reminiscent of cranberry, dried blueberry and black olive.
Food Pairing: This wine pairs well with grilled meats and slightly spicy sauces such as Sicilian-style swordfish with tomatoes and olives, pork chops and tenderloin.

Efren Loeza began at Tualatin Estate Vineyard in 1979 at the age of 17 and has worked there ever since. Now, Efren is the Vineyard Manager for all of our vines from Tualatin Estate in Forest Grove to the Estate Vineyard in the Salem Hills, with nearly 500 acres under his supervision.
His careful vineyard practices and stewardship of the land have earned LIVE and Salmon-Safe certifications for our . He received the Oregon Wine Board’s first Vineyard Excellence Award in 2016.
To give thanks to Efren and his family for more than 40 years of dedication, Founder and CEO Jim Bernau purchased a unique piece of land on a knoll formed by the power of the Missoula Lake Floods and named it Loeza Vineyard. Second Photo features Efren celebrating Loeza Vineyard groundbreaking!
