2022 Domaine Willamette Méthode Traditionnelle Blanc De Noirs

2022 Domaine Willamette Méthode Traditionnelle Blanc De Noirs

Domaine Willamette is dedicated to producing the highest quality sparkling wines. Our Blanc de Noirs is crafted from estate-grown Pinot Noir using the méthode traditionnelle, in which the wine undergoes secondary fermentation in the bottle. It’s then aged on its lees for 30 months to develop complexity while preserving vibrancy before disgorgement.

On the Nose: Golden bubbles frame a sparkling wine crafted from 100% Pinot Noir. Aromas of Italian meringue, graham cracker, golden apple and yellow kiwi.

On the Palate: A fruit-driven palate of sweet honeysuckle, golden raspberries and grapefruit zest. Creamy and structured, with fresh acidity, this Blanc de Noirs delivers a robust yet elegant finish.

Food Pairings: Pairs beautifully with delicate seafood such as tuna sashimi, richer dishes like Coquilles Saint-Jacques, as well as cheeses and fresh fruits.

"Wines made with consideration for the environment, employees and community simply taste better."

Bernau Estate Vineyard
Dundee Hills AVA

Named in honor of Founder Jim Bernau, Bernau Estate Vineyard is located in the Dundee Hills and the future home to our Méthode Champenoise sparkling wine facility, set to open in 2022. The vines at Bernau Estate Vineyard are farmed using biodynamic techniques, with plans to apply for a Demeter certification in 2022. Biodynamic farming uses sustainable, organic practices, including composting and the use of special preparations, to holistically promote the soil's long-term health.

The vineyard has a very gentle south west facing slope and mostly Woodburn soils, which are deep, nutrient rich and well drained soils. The original 15 acres of Pinot Noir was planted in 1994 and in 2019 we added 9 acres of Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
