This small-lot wine was made with estate-grown grapes from our Elton Vineyard. After a trip to Austria, Dick and Betty O'Brien were inspired to plant their own block of Grüner Veltliner grapes back home at their Elton Vineyard after experiencing it thrive in a similar cool-climate wine region. The first planting spanned just 0.6 acres, but we added a few additional rows expanding it to one acre. Despite it being a small block, Elton Vineyard is still one of the largest growers of Grüner Veltliner in Oregon.
