2018 Griffin Creek Grenache
For more than two decades we have been working with the Moore family, dedicated growers crafting the highest-quality wines from their Rogue Valley vineyards since 1996. With temperatures similar to France's Bordeaux or Rhône regions, this area is an emerging Oregon region.
On the Nose: The perfect wine to enjoy in the winter with fruits of dark cherries, blueberries jam with notes of black tea, cocoa nibs, and baking spices that warm you up instantly.
On the Palate: Brightness from the acid gives the wine plenty of life while the tannins provide a velvety richness that lasts from start to finish. Undertones of raspberry, english breakfast tea, and nutmeg give additional dimensions to this wine.
Food Pairing: Pot roast with glazed carrots, rabbit stew over polenta, braised duck with a cherry glaze, rack of lamb with chimichurri.

Pioneers of the Oregon wine industry, Don and Traute Moore have been cultivating vines at their Quail Run Vineyards in the Rogue Valley since 1989, growing varietals from all over the world. What they discovered through careful site selection and temperatures similar to France’s Bordeaux or Rhône regions was the ability to grow a “world of wine” in the Rogue Valley as the varietals flourished. Their site is now one of Oregon’s largest and highly regarded vineyards in the industry.
Quail Run Vineyards is LIVE Certified and collaborate closely with universities on multiple experiments to improve grape quality, improve soils and pest management practices.
Shortly after partnering with Quail Run Vineyards to make our first vintage in 1996,
our Griffin Creek Merlot was named “Best Red Wine in Oregon” by Wine Spectator.
