2017 Chehalem Mountains Pinot Noir

2017 Chehalem Mountains Pinot Noir

The Chehalem Mountains AVA consists of a single uplifted landmass 20 miles long and five miles wide. The uniquely contoured Alloro Vineyard sits on Laurelwood soil, formed over thousands of years on layers of wind-blown glacial silt called loess. These attributes come together to exhibit spicy, rustic and red-fruited wines.

On the Nose: Aromas of raspberry, blueberry and cinnamon spice.

On the Palate: Complex flavors of bergamot, orange spice, ruby red grapefruit and florals. The wine is characterized by its elegance, juicy texture and round, soft finish.

Food Pairings: Wild mushroom bruschetta, chicken carbonara, pork terrine and stuffed quail.

Peak Drinkability: 2020 - 2025.
