Inaugural vintage is crafted using méthode traditionnelle and sourced from estate-grown Chardonnay. The wine was aged for seven months in neutral barrel and stainless steel, then aged 23 months on its lees to develop added complexity before being disgorged.
On the Nose: Vibrant pearlescence shines in the glass as the aromas of dried apricot, fresh tarragon, thyme, and sourdough bread jump from the glass.
On the Palate: Gala apples and white nectarine merge with candied ginger and cashews to provide generous playful warmth and creaminess on the palate that is accompanied by a freshness of limestone minerality and oyster shell saline that will linger persistently on the finish.
Food Pairings: Offering great food pairing versatility and the ability to elevate any occasion, enjoy with a baked brie wrapped in prosciutto, gorgonzola and peach flatbread, clam chowder in a sourdough bowl, crab roll sandwich and fresh oysters.

Bernau Estate Vineyard
Dundee Hills AVA
Named in honor of Founder Jim Bernau, Bernau Estate Vineyard is located in the Dundee Hills and the future home to our Méthode Champenoise sparkling wine facility, set to open in 2022. The vines at Bernau Estate Vineyard are farmed using biodynamic techniques, with plans to apply for a Demeter certification in 2022. Biodynamic farming uses sustainable, organic practices, including composting and the use of special preparations, to holistically promote the soil's long-term health.
The vineyard has a very gentle south west facing slope and mostly Woodburn soils, which are deep, nutrient rich and well drained soils. The original 15 acres of Pinot Noir was planted in 1994 and in 2019 we added 9 acres of Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
