Made with Dijon clones planted more than 20 years ago by Founder Jim Bernau who traveled with the Oregon Governor's Delegation to Burgundy in the 1980s to seek out French clones to improve our state's Chardonnay quality. The vines were brought back and quarantined at OSU before being propagated for use in Oregon vineyards.
On the Nose: The beautiful colors of pale yellow and gold shift in the glass presenting aromas of fresh stone fruit, honeydew and lemon-grass. Delicate fruit and sweet barrel notes give way to shortbread and toffee.
On the Palate: The sensation of bright acidity is met with flavors of pear, grapefruit, and ginger spice. The Willamette Valley's terrior creates vibrant fruit notes and a rich palate in this wine.
Food Pairings: Winter tortellini with brown butter sauce, pesto Linguine with clams, creamy potato dishes and medium cheeses.
Peak Drinkability: 2023 - 2028
