For more than two decades we have been working with the Moore family, dedicated stewards growing the highest-quality wines from their Rogue Valley vineyards since 1989. The Rogue Valley is an emerging Oregon region with temperatures similar to France's Bordeaux or Rhône regions.
On the Nose: Dark garnet with purple colors, the wine opens with vibrant fruit aromas of blackberry and blueberry and barrel notes of roasted hazelnut and leather.
On the Palate: The palate is dry and balances a fresh acidity with French oak spice of star anise and sweet licorice. Tart blackberry, fig and dried blueberries create a strong and lingering flavor that suggests this vintage can be enjoyed now or cellared for future enjoyment.
Food Pairing: Excellent with savory dishes and slightly sweet sauces such as Moroccan lamb stew, bison burgers and dark chocolate desserts.
Peak Drinkability: 2023 - 2030

Quail Run Vineyards
Rogue Valley AVA
Pioneers of the Oregon wine industry, Don and Traute Moore began farming wine grapes in 1989. However, back then, no one knew what varieties were suited for the area, so the Moores began to experiment. Don and Traute studied growing techniques, consulted with the world’s finest viticulturists and began planting dozens of wine varietals, including those from Rhône and Bordeaux. Through careful site selection, they discovered the ability to cultivate a “world of wine” in the Rogue Valley, as varietals from diverse origins flourished.
In 2010, Don and Traute Moore received the Oregon Winegrowers Association’s prestigious Founder’s Award in recognition of their pioneering efforts and the legacy they inspired. In 2022, Wine Enthusiast named the Rogue Valley one of five international “Wine Regions of the Year.”
Don and Traute have since passed away, leaving their son, Michael Moore, to build on the work his parents started. Today, Quail Run is one of Oregon’s most extensive and highly regarded vineyards in the industry.
Quail Run Vineyards is LIVE Certified and collaborate closely with universities on multiple experiments to improve grape quality, improve soils and pest management practices.
