Where To Stay

Willamette Valley Vineyards - Wake up with sweeping views of vines in the Willamette Valley by staying in a Winery Suite.  Included with each package is a private winery tour and tasting and a wine credit to take home your favorite wines. 

The Grand Hotel in Salem - Featuring 193 beautifully appointed guest rooms and suites, this hotel is located in the center of it all in downtown Salem. Walking distance to many restaurants and an easy drive to Oregon Wine Country, the Coast and Portland, the Grand is a natural choice for making this your Oregon visit headquarters.

What To See

Willamette Valley Vineyards - As the location of Bravo's Top Chef finale, visit the Tasting Room for daily food and wine pairings in a relaxing indoor or outdoor setting with sweeping views of the vineyard and valley.

Enjoy a guided tableside tasting flight, lunch or dinner from the daily food pairings menu or an elevated experience such as a private tour and tasting, pairings exploration or spend the night in a Winery Suite.

Where To Eat And Drink

Akadi - Closed for dine in but open for takeout, Akadi offers West African cuisine specializing in dishes from Ivory Coast, Senegal, Ghana, Mali and Burkina Faso.

Departure - Pan-Asian cuisine served in an alluring, comfortable atmosphere high above the city at the top of the Nines Hotel.

Canard - Dishes take their inspiration from all over the world at this stylish venue mixing fresh cocktails.

MSR Kitchen at Soter Vineyards - Cheftestant Sara Hauman is at the helm of this wine country restaurant located outside of Portland in Carlton, known for their wineries and charming downtown.

Mama Bird - Cheftestant Gabriel Pascuzzi’s restaurant featuring, you guessed it, wood fire grilled chicken with your choice of six delicious sauces.

Mother's Bistro - A Portland institution serving up a city staple — brunch. 

Proud Mary - Australian-style coffee roasters with breakfast and lunch options.

Yaad Style Jamaican - Offering Red Stripe and Reggae Nights.

Where To Stay

Royal Sonesta Portland Downtown - With tasteful vintage touches at every turn, Royal Sonesta Portland Downtown offers the quintessential Portland experience. Rest your head among custom-made bird wallpaper and playful décor. This hotel is where the cheftestants stayed for three months during filming and it is close to many of the restaurants featured.  

Scholls Valley Lodge - This beautiful lodge and working farm is located West of Portland in the community of Scholls. The cheftestants competed here and you can visit and spend the night while you are on your Top Chef journey through Oregon.

What To See

Portland Japanese Garden - “The most beautiful and authentic Japanese garden in the world outside of Japan.” - His Excellency Nobuo Matsunaga, the former Ambassador of Japan to the United States.

Uwajimaya - Asian supermarket and grocery store with extensive authentic selection. Cheftestants shopped here for ingredients while competing in Portland. 

Oregon Museum of Science and Industry - Known as one of the top science museums, OMSI (as locals call it) has interactive exhibits for all ages. In addition to being a location for Top Chef Portland, you can also tour the USS Blueback submarine which was featured in The Hunt for Red October movie.

International Rose Test Garden - More than 10,000 rose bushes of approximately 650 varieties that bloom from April through October with the peak coming in June, depending on the weather.

Sugarpine Drive-In -Historic stop for soft serve and elevated American classics on the banks of the Sandy River.

Egg River Cafe - Classic American breakfast food in a traditional, warm-hearted, cozy atmosphere. 

pFriem Family Brewers - Artisanal beers - rife with complexity and elegance, but unmistakably true to their homegrown roots in the Great Pacific Northwest.

Stonehedge Gardens - Secluded upscale American bistro in a converted farmhouse surrounded by expansive gardens.

Broder Øst - Buzzy spot for Scandinavian breakfast staples & hot drinks in a stylish hotel with Hood River views.

Where To Stay

Hood River Hotel - On the National Register of Historic Places and the city's oldest and most beloved vintage hotel. Located in the center of quaint downtown Hood River and close to restaurants, breweries, wineries, the starting point for the Mt. Hood Railroad scenic line and the world famous fruit loop. 

What To See

Columbia Gorge Sternwheeler - This authentic sternwheeler replica takes visitors on a laid-back cruise on the Columbia River, under the Bridge of the Gods, and past the Native American salmon fishermen while learning about local history and Gorge folklore from Captain Tom.

The 2-hour gorgeous dinner cruise features a seasonal three-course dinner, historical narration, and breathtaking views of the Columbia River Gorge. As seen in Episode 6 of Top Chef Portland.

Mt. View Orchards - A 50-acre apple and pear farm with u-pick, picnic spaces, seasonal pumpkin patch, cidery and winery.

Brigham Fish Market - A Native American family-owned business run by sisters, Kim and Terrie. Dine on locally caught Columbia River fish or take some to go to grill up at home.

Where to Eat & Drink

Wayfarer Restaurant & Lounge - The oceanfront Wayfarer Restaurant & Lounge is just steps from Haystack Rock and has sweeping views of the Oregon coastline. The restaurant features classic northwest coastal seafood for the whole family with attention to high quality, seasonal and local ingredients, alongside an award-winning wine list. Top Chef Portland filmed here in Episode 13.

Public Coast Brewing Company - Named after one of the only true public coastlines in America - the Oregon coast. The brewery features a 10-barrel brewhouse with two 20-barrel fermenters and four 10-barrel fermenters, and has won numerous awards, including a gold for its '67 Blonde Ale at the World Beer Cup and Oregon Beer Awards.

Where to Stay

Surfsand Resort - Located just 70 miles west of Portland in Cannon Beach, the oceanfront Surfsand Resort is just steps from Haystack Rock and has sweeping coastline views to the north and south. The full-service resort features stylish, contemporary guest rooms and suites with a tranquil vibe and a lot of fun extras that make each stay memorable. The cheftestants stayed here and competed on their hotel room balconies while filming Episode 13. 

What to See 

Tillamook Creamery - Visit the mecca of cheese in Oregon and see why Oregonians love Tillamook Cheese so much and where the cheftestants had to come up with creative cheese dishes on Episode 12. 

Kelly’s Brighton MarinaToss a pot in the bay and experience the joy of crabbing like the cheftestants did by going out with Kelly himself. He’ll share the joys of catching, cooking and eating crab from the Oregon coast!

Where to Eat & Drink

Hamley Steakhouse & Saloon - Enjoy fine dining in an authentic old west restaurant and bar that is the heart of downtown Pendleton.

Oregon Grain Growers Brand Distillery - A unique restaurant and distillery paying homage to the fertile land, pristine water from the Blue Mountains and the hard-working growers that bring their products to market. 

Where to Stay 

Wildhorse Resort & Casino - A beautifully appointed resort that is so much more than a place to lie your head. In addition to the casino you can also golf, enjoy great Native American inspired dishes or spend the night bowling or playing other games in the family funplex. 

What to See

On Episode 6, the cheftestants competed in Cascade Locks with special guests and foods from the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation. We recommend visiting two of the Tribe's enterprises (Wildhorse Resort & Casino and The Museum at Tamástslikt Cultural Institute). 

The Museum at Tamástslikt Cultural Institute - A must-see when in Pendleton, this museum presents a unique perspective on the regional history of the Cayuse, Umatilla and Walla Walla Tribes.
