Our Pambrun wines are inspired by the rich history of the Walla Walla Valley when Pierre and Kitty Pambrun operated the Nez Perce Trading Post for the Hudson's Bay Company in 1832 and Pierre became Walla Walla’s First Citizen.
Our signature wine, sourced from the acclaimed Seven Hills Vineyard and neighboring Summit View Vineyard. Displaying alluring aromatics of plum, black currant, espresso, savory herbs and sweet cassis underpinned by a backbone of graphite minerality. A firm yet polished mouthfeel leads with layers of cherry, raspberry, earth, anise, dark chocolate and woodspice flavors. Robust tannins and balanced natural acidity create a powerful finish and indicate ageworthiness.
Complex, inviting and elegant, the wine opens with alluring aromas of forest floor, fresh herbs and bramble berries. The palate expresses deeper layers of earth, herbs, fruit and spices including marionberry, fig, red clay, baking spice, game and wild mushroom. This wine expands on the palate with juicy acidity that culminates in a lush, velvety texture with smooth subtle textures.

The aromas give rise to a plush palate with flavors of bramble fruit, savory herbs, earthy minerality, and sweet baking spice, that lay over the silky fine-grain tannins and seamless texture. Only 280 cases produced.

Featuring alluring aromatics of black currant, tobacco leaf, graphite, forest floor, dark chocolate and sweet cassis, a firm yet polished mouthfeel leads with dense layers of blackberries, dried herbs, anise and woodspice flavors. Fine grain tannins lead to a long, pure, structured and elegant finish. Only 731 cases produced.

Today, their fourth great-grandson Jim Bernau, inspired by his family’s heritage, has set out to grow and make elegant, terroir-driven wines from our estate and neighboring SeVein vineyards.
The aromas are fresh and perfumed with red currants, strawberries, cherry cola and crème de cassis, with wet stones, cigar box and earth on the back end to support the ample fruit expression. The wine is medium-bodied with a light touch of fine-grained and supple tannins. There is a purity and finesse to this wine that is utterly captivating, with a finish that lingers endlessly.
A complex red blend of the finest varietals from the Walla Walla Valley, this bottling celebrates the Métis heritage of Founder Jim Bernau's fourth great grandparents Catherine "Kitty" Umfreville Pambrun who worked with her husband Pierre Chrysologue Pambrun to lead Fort Nez Perce in Walla Walla, ushering in a time of peace to the trading post and Columbia Basin.
The 2018 vintage is our inaugural release of the Bernau Estate Pinot Noir. This single vineyard designate from our Bernau Estate Vineyard in the Dundee Hills. Named in honor of our Founder Jim Bernau, Bernau Estate is the future home of our méthode traditionnelle sparkling wine facility.

Cuvée translates to Vintner’s Choice. This wine was specially blended from barrel lots from our AVA Series vineyard sites to create a wine displaying the uniqueness of the individual appellations, while coming together to showcase Willamette Valley Pinot Noir.
Our Bordeaux-style blend offers up an abundant nose of cherry, red currant, crème de cassis, leather, earth and florals all beautifully leading into a palate of spiced plums, boysenberry, tobacco, savory dried herbs, red chili and dark chocolate.
