The Estate Pinot Noir expresses the terroir of our estate vineyards − the original planting by Founder Jim Bernau at the winery in the Salem Hills, Tualatin Estate planted by Oregon wine pioneer Bill Fuller in the foothills of the Coastal Range and Elton Vineyard planted by Dick and Betty O'Brien on the east face of the Eola-Amity Hills.
Tasting Notes: Bright ruby in the glass, the wine exemplifies the classic "Willamette Valley style" with savory and fruit-forward aromas of potpourri, sage, red currant and raspberry. The wine is medium-bodied, with fresh acidity and integrated tannins on the palate, and offers flavors of forest floor, licorice, orange peel and red cherry.
2023 Estate Chardonnay, Willamette Valley
Expressing the terroir of our three estate vineyards, where the Willamette Valley’s long, cool growing season is ideally suited for growing low yields of high-quality Chardonnay grapes. Our Estate Chardonnay comes from vines growing in the iron-rich volcanic slopes and sedimentary seabeds of the Willamette Valley Appellation.
Tasting Notes: Pale gold in color, the wine features aromas of chamomile, apple and sweet lemon. The light-bodied palate displays balanced acidity and subtle complexity with flavors of passion fruit, baked pear, subtle brown sugar and sweet barrel notes.
