Welcome to Maison Bleue + Pambrun

Welcome to the shared tasting room of Pambrun and Maison Bleue, where two distinct expressions of the Walla Walla Valley come together in one place.

Maison Bleue, founded in 2007, is devoted to Rhône varietals—Syrah, Grenache, and Viognier—crafted with a light touch and rooted in the stony soils of the Rocks District of Milton-Freewater. From its estate vineyard at the edge of the appellation, the wines reflect both the power and nuance of this remarkable site.

Pambrun draws inspiration from the region’s early history, honoring the legacy of Pierre and Kitty Pambrun. Today, fourth great-grandson Jim Bernau crafts elegant Bordeaux varietal wines from high-elevation vineyards in SeVein, where rugged terrain and layered soils shape wines of depth and refinement.

Together, we invite you to experience the range of Walla Walla terroir—from The Rocks District to the hills of SeVein—through wines that are distinct in style and shared in spirit.

Estate Vineyards

Maison Bleue VIneyard

Maison Bleue Vineyard

Our Estate Vineyard was planted in 2018 with 15-acres of Syrah, Grenache and Viognier. It is located at the entrance to e Rocks District of Milton-Freewater AVA and sits at one of the higher elevations ranging from 918 feet to 933 feet to minimize frost damage. e site also features some of the largest stones in the appellation, because it was in the center of the path of the Walla Walla River where the water was moving the swiftest to leave these large deposits. The soils throughout the land has been classified as Freewater very cobbly loam, which is deep, excessively drained and mixed with loess. ese sediments were deposited by distributary channels of the Walla Walla River, primarily during the last 12,000 years, as the river gradually removed sediment deposited by the ice-age Missoula floods that once blanketed thefloor of the Walla Walla Valley below elevations of 1200 feet. The vineyard is sustainably farmed LIVE and Salmon-Safe. The first harvest o our Estate took place in 2020.

Pambrun Vineyard

Pambrun Vineyard is rooted in SeVein on the Oregon side of the Walla Walla Valley, planted among some of the region’s most visionary sites and anchored by the renowned Seven Hills Vineyard. Dened by high elevations (1,050–1,200 feet), wind-blown loess soils layered with fractured basalt, and a cool northern aspect, the site benets from low annual rainfall, steady southwest winds, and an ideal range of growing degree days. Together, these elements shape a rugged, high-desert microclimate well-suited to Bordeaux varietals.

First established in 2016, Pambrun spans 90 acres across two sites, with 19 acres currently planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. thoughtfully farmed by Sadie Drury of North Slope Management, the vineyard is certified LIVE and Salmon-Safe, reflecting an ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship and the long-term health of the land.
