2016 Griffin Creek Merlot

2016 Griffin Creek Merlot

Pioneers of the Oregon wine industry, Don and Traute Moore have been cultivating vines at their Quail Run Vineyards in the Rogue Valley since 1989, growing varietals from all over the world.

Shortly after partnering with Quail Run Vineyards to make our first vintage in 1996, our Griffin Creek Merlot was named “Best Red Wine in Oregon” by Wine Spectator.

Accolades:
91 points - Wine Enthusiast

On the Nose: Ruby in color, the nose opens with fruit notes of mulberry, plum, craisins that flow into aromas of wood and baking spices.

On the Palate: Medium in body, the palate expresses dark fruit, dried herbs and sandalwood framed around soft, supple tannins and balancing acidity. The finish is persistent with lingering notes of cranberry and pomegranate.

Food Pairings: Pair with lamb burgers, herb and garlic meatloaf, pot roast and antipasto platters.
