Sourced from old vine plantings at our Elton Vineyard, founded in 1983 by Dick and Betty O’Brien, on the east-southeast slopes of the Eola-Amity Hills. With over a decade and a half of careful bottle maturation, this is one of the first Pinot Noirs bottled from our Elton Vineyard and showcases why this is such an esteemed and award-winning wine vineyard.
On the Nose: Medium ruby in color, the wine opens with aromas of juniper, forest floor, cinnamon and raspberry.
On the Palate: Flavors of dried orange peel, red cherry, raspberry, dried strawberry and pine are carried through the long finish. Firm tannins are still apparent and give this wine plenty of life.
Food pairings: Venison ragu with pappardelle, lamb chops with balsamic reduction, grilled steelhead and stuffed mushrooms.
