About the Course:

In partnership with Vineyard Stewards, the 5k and 1k courses have been finalized.

The 5k course will take runners and walkers through the Estate property, including the lower Bernau Block, Willamette Valley Vineyards' original planting. You'll pass through "Into the Woods," Willamette’s camping, RV, and outdoor facility, and finish with a challenging and rewarding climb up the vineyard’s iconic drive.

This course features challenging ascents and descents, as well as a mix of paved roads, gravel roads, and dirt terrain through the Vineyards.

Race Day Information

Event Start Times: Run Willamette 5k starts at 9:30 am, and Kids 1k begins at 10:30 am.

Gates Opening: Willamette Valley Vineyards gates will open at 8 am. Please note, the main gate at 8800 Enchanted Way SE, Turner, OR 97392, will be closed. Enter the Winery using the South Entrance off Cloverdale Dr SE.

Sustainability on the Course

A water station will be available on the course for runners and walkers. In an effort to remain as sustainable as possible throughout the race, we encourage runners and walkers to come with a water bottle, hydration pack or other hydration equipment. This will help reduce the use of paper and plastic cups.

Please note, though, that water cups will be available for those who need them on the course. Please work with volunteers and staff to ensure these are disposed of in a respectable manner.

Make an Impact in the Oregon Wine Industry

A portion of entry fees will be donated to ¡Salud!, an organization dedicated to providing healthcare services and outreach to Oregon vineyard workers and their families. ¡Salud! is 100% supported by philanthropy.

Inherent Risks

Willamette Valley Vineyards is an active winery and vineyard. As a result, additional environmental factors exist, including uneven terrain and the possibility of exposure to pollen, bees, and other allergens.

Spectator Information

Carpooling
Due to runners and walkers using the main drive of the winery, we encourage groups to carpool to reduce the total numbers of cars on the road around the winery.

Post-Race Celebration
Once you cross the finish line, enjoy live music, cheer on other competitors, and participants over the age of 21 are invited to enjoy a celebratory splash of wine and a complimentary glass of some favorite Willamette Valley Vineyards wines. Please bring valid ID to enjoy any wine offerings.

The kitchen and wine shop will open with a limited menu beginning at 10:30 am for participants to order additional bottles and food, and will be fully open beginning at 12 pm.

Pets & Strollers

While Willamette Valley Vineyards is happy to allow pets and strollers at the winery, they should remain off the course and are not allowed to participate in the event. Pets must remain leashed and stay with a spectator.

We encourage children not able to take part in the full 5k run/walk to take part in our Kids 1K (1 kilometer distance) while accompanied by a parent or guardian.
