2019 Natoma Zinfandel

Folsom's rich winemaking history dates back to the mid-1800s with the planting of the celebrated Natoma Vineyard. In the early 1900s, Natoma Vineyard boasted 2,000 acres and was one of the largest vineyards in the state when gold was discovered on the property — and the vines were replaced with dredgers. Our dream is to reestablish Natoma by crafting local wines and celebrating its place in California wine history.

On the Nose: Jammy red fruits overlay a nose accented by crushed black pepper, holiday spices and dark chocolate.

On the Palate: A sweet-fruited entry of plum and cherry opens up to reveal additional slate and wood spice notes. Satin textured with balancing acidity, plush tannins and a long, lingering finish carry flavors far beyond the sip.

Food Pairings: Enjoy with barbecue dishes including sticky ribs, wood-fired flatbreads, lasagna and spicy vegetable curries.
