For more than two decades we have been working with growers Don and Traute Moore, crafting the highest-quality wines from their Rogue Valley vineyards since 1996. With temperatures similar to France's Bordeaux or Rhône regions, this area is an emerging Oregon region.
On the Nose: This wine opens with aromas of mulberry, plum and blueberry on the nose that continues to reveal dried lavender, baking spices and dark chocolate.
On the Palate: Fruit-forward with flavors that mirror aromas with the addition of bergamot tea and earthy spice on the palate, the full-bodied wine features broad tannins and balancing acidity for harmony and structure.
Food pairings: Enjoy with grilled meats like top sirloin or lamb with mint and herbs, wood-fired flatbreads topped with sausage, roasted pork with creamy mushroom ragu and a gourmet burger topped with blue cheese and caramelized onions.
Peak Drinkability: 2022-2032
At this time, we cannot ship this wine to the following states:

Quail Run Vineyards
Rogue Valley AVA
Pioneers of the Oregon wine industry, Don and Traute Moore have been cultivating vines at their Quail Run Vineyards in the Rogue Valley since 1989, growing varietals from all over the world. What they discovered through careful site selection and temperatures similar to France’s Bordeaux or Rhône regions was the ability to grow a “world of wine” in the Rogue Valley as the varietals flourished. Their site is now one of Oregon’s largest and highly regarded vineyards in the industry.
Quail Run Vineyards is LIVE Certified and collaborate closely with universities on multiple experiments to improve grape quality, improve soils and pest management practices.
Shortly after partnering with Quail Run Vineyards to make our first vintage in 1996,
our Griffin Creek Merlot was named “Best Red Wine in Oregon” by Wine Spectator.
