Since 1996, Willamette Valley Vineyards has worked with the Moore family, who began cultivating wines at Quail Run Vineyards in the Rogue Valley in 1989. With temperatures similar to those of France's Bordeaux or Rhône regions, this area is an emerging wine region in Oregon.
On the Nose: Brilliant pale lemon in the glass, the wine offers a pronounced aromatic profile of sugared lemon, honeysuckle and ripe apricot.
On the Palate: Citrus and pineapple notes on the palate are lightly accented by baking spice, marmalade and toasted hazelnuts. Fresh acidity provides a long, energetic finish. Drinking beautifully now and can age for up to five years.
Food Pairings: Enjoy with chicken or briny dishes, such as Indian butter chicken or Vietnamese shredded chicken salad, as well as soft cheeses.
