Since 1996, Willamette Valley Vineyards has worked with the Moore family, who began cultivating wines at Quail Run Vineyards in the Rogue Valley in 1989. With temperatures similar to those of France's Bordeaux or Rhône regions, this area is an emerging wine region in Oregon.
On the Nose: Deep ruby in color, this fruit-forward Malbec offers inviting aromas of blackberry, raspberry, dark cherry and cassis, balanced by subtle barrel spice.
On the Palate: The palate reveals layered flavors of dried blueberry, dark chocolate and allspice, delivering notable intensity and a long, smooth finish. Enjoy now or age gracefully for up to ten years.
Food Pairing: Pairs well with savory dishes such as pasta alla Norma, bourbon-glazed ham, braised short ribs, or wood-fired flatbread topped with mushrooms, rosemary and Gorgonzola.
