— Wine Club & Owner Exclusive —
The O’Brien Pinot Noir is made in extremely limited vintages when quality warrants. It has been produced just four previous times before in our history, in 2008, 2012, 2016 and 2018 vintages. All vintages of this exquisite Pinot Noir have received many awards, including 94 points for the 2008 vintage from Wine Advocate, 92+ points for the 2012 vintage from Wine Advocate and 93 points from James Suckling for the 2016 vintage.
On the Nose: Ruby in color, the wine offers aromas of bing cherries, ripe pomegranate, cola, forest floor, sweet oak and dried tarragon.
On the Palate: Flavors recall Mt. Hood Strawberries, dried hibiscus flowers, rose hips, black currant and cedar. On the palate, the balanced tannins and acidity lead to a long finish. This wine shows a beautiful contrast of floral and elegant characteristics compared to more structured single-vineyard Pinot Noirs.
Food Pairings: Pair with savory BBQ dishes, Asian cuisine, wood-fired flatbreads and gourmet burgers.
Peak Drinkability: 2024 - 2032
