Raptor Night in the Vineyard

Please join us Friday, June 15th from 6 - 8 pm at the Estate for an exciting Raptor Night at the Vineyards. Cascades Raptor Center will be in attendance for a special presentation and live bird showing of Dmitri, the Eurasian Eagle-Owl!

In 2011, we partnered with Cascades Raptor Center to place rehabilitated barn owls and kestrels into our vineyard for natural protection. Joe Perez, one of our long-standing AWS/OWE members, built the "bird condos" and placed them in our three estate vineyards. We continue to introduce birds each year with the help of Facilities Coordinator Randy Hillyer. Joe and Randy will be in attendance to share stories and give additional insight into the program.

Cost to attend is $15, exclusive to Wine Club Members, Owners and their guests. Admission includes a flight of wine, small bites, a full vineyard hiking experience and live bird showing. The event has now been sold out. Note: this event includes a hike with steep climbs; please bring appropriate footwear and clothing.

6 - 6:30 pm  |  Informative talk during the hike about sustainability practices and an opportunity to see the kestrel homes 
6:45 pm  |  Open house in the Founders' Room for small bites and wine with the Cascade Raptor Center
